If you close your eyes and listen to 10-year-old Fox Gilbert playing the piano, you’d swear Jerry Lee Lewis has been reincarnated.
His flawless flourishes on the ivories have helped the Gilbert Family Band make musical inroads in the last two years. Aside from Fox, the Barnegat Township-based group also consists of his parents, J.P. and Tamara, who provide vocals as well as guitar and percussion, respectively. Fox’s younger brother, 7-year-old Blaze, plays the acoustic bass.
