My daughter-in-law delivered a beautiful baby girl on June 22. Mae was 7 pounds, 5 ounces, 20 inches long, 10 fingers, 10 toes. Everyone’s fine including big sister Cora – so far. We stayed over at the kids’ house a few days while they were in the hospital to do the grandparents’ jobs: taking Cora to daycare, laundry, food shopping, picking Cora up, dinner and entertaining her through the last few hours of her day.
I noticed during these few days that suddenly my advice was of interest to all. “Who do you think she looks like, Pop?”
