Each year as the last page of the calendar turns there is no shortage of look-backs and recaps of highs and lows of the preceding year. I, being no different than others, tend to look at things a bit more philosophically than usual this time of year.

It seems harder and harder to find things to be grateful for given the stress and strain of a pandemic, which I believe irrespective of its seriousness has been made more painful by its handling by our politicians and media.
