The historic St. Rita in Beach Haven is beginning a facelift as the hotel enters a new age, after being bequeathed to a little girl, age 8, who was the light of 94-year-old longtime owner Marie Coates’ life.
The hotel is being preserved against the odds, but with love. In this day, it would have been easier to sell it, and opportunity had knocked uninvited many times.
