What Happened?

To the Editor:

Wow! It must be election time. Our town’s representatives make the first page of The Barnegat Leader for the pavilion ground breaking. Hooray!

I wonder if they forgot the new Wawa on Route 9. That area has waited so long the ground will need clearing again before anything starts there.

Next is the new Aldi that was promised. Will this be accomplished before I die?

Oops … Then there is that ultra-large tract of land on Route 9 that has sat for years. What happened to the beautiful complex that was to be built there?

The old Jenny’s site is another eyesore that has sat for years also.

But hell, let’s celebrate the new building at the dock with the good old boys! Are you all kidding me or what?
