To the Editor:
A couple of years ago my parents went toa crafts fair on LBI. My mom liked a carved, wooden whale they saw so they decided to make one of their own. It took a little time and a little patient negotiating between the two of them to get it right, but it turned out pretty nice.
Dad did the cutting and carving, mostly at Mom’s direction. Mom did the painting, with a little input from Dad. And so we had a nice, painted, wooden whale plaque to hang on the back porch of the beach house.
