To the Editor:
The only good thing to come out of the horrible war in Ukraine may be to demonstrate to us here in the U.S. just what can happen if our democracy fails. Seeing Putin censor the media as they do in North Korea should send chills down everyone’s spine and reaffirm the value of a free press.
One-third of our population doesn’t even bother to vote while Ukrainians are risking their lives for what we’ve been lucky enough to take for granted.
