As a long-term resident and former commissioner in Harvey Cedars, I want to explain the advantages of the commission form of government that we have in our town. There are no “parties,” no outside “chairperson” to choose the candidates running for the three seats on the Harvey Cedars Board of Commissioners. The individuals running for office are doing so based on their own records and merits as town residents.
