I’m in the dark about window tinting on vehicles in N.J. Quite obviously, the number of fully “blacked out” vehicles has skyrocketed.

I’m taking no political stance one way or the other. However, during my recent purchase of a Nissan truck, I declined aftermarket offers to “fully tint” all the truck’s windows.

My shunning of the total glass darkness has to do with it being clearly – what’s the word I’m seeking? – how about … illegal.

For the record, it’s ostensibly illegal to have a darkly tinted windshield or driver-side door window in N.J.
