At our home on LBI, extra space is as rare as a blue moon in February. On family weekends, there is so little elbow room, every empty spot is covered with either a suitcase, sleeping bag or body. As a result, the garage doubles as a laundry/storage area. Its contents range from beach toys for young and old to tomato cages. My painting supplies fill a shelf just in case in my travels I spy a neglected piece of furniture at a yard sale just screaming to be restored.

With 10 grandchildren ranging in age from 6 to 17, nothing gets thrown out.
