The plan to overhaul the grass field inside Southern Regional Goldberger Memorial Stadium and turn it into a multipurpose turf field is back on track.
After soil samplings taken by TTI Environmental Inc. during the spring revealed traces of mercury, the original plan to complete the changeover this past summer had to be delayed because more testing needed to be done and necessary permitting to remove contaminated soil would have been required.
