After coming up short following a mechanical mishap last year, Martin Truex Jr. finally ended what seemed to be a curse at Kansas Speedway on May 13, making it to Victory Lane by winning the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series Go Bowling 400.

Truex led a race-high 104 of the 267 laps to win for the ninth time in his career and the second time this season. During three past races in Kansas City, Truex led the most laps but didn’t win.
