Perhaps, the biggest Christmas miracle in Ship Bottom each year is the absence of everyday vehicular traffic on the Boulevard for a few hours as the gateway to the Island is transformed from summer haven to winter wonderland ahead of its annual parade.

The 46th rendition of the yearly event kicks off at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 6 with a theme of “A Century of Christmas Memories,” effectively bringing the borough’s centennial year of celebrations to a close.

Traffic pattern shifts will begin at 12:45 p.m. with multiple lane closures, according to Ship Bottom police.
