What a difference 30 years makes ….
As we sit here in the midst of a historically quiet hurricane season, it’s hard for Generation X not to look back to the nonstop storm and swell activity of 1996. That summer and fall, the surf absolutely fired on the East Coast. And it’s funny because there are a lot of similarities between 2026 and 1996 despite that one big difference in tropical pulse.
If this just turns into an essay for the sake of nostalgia, well, so be it.
