Inspired by a love of experiencing new places with his four-legged companion Rosie, Tuckerton native John Aff has developed an answer to every adventurous dog parent’s question: “Can I bring my dog?”

Aff, who now lives in Jacksonville, Fla., was frustrated by the tedious process of researching whether any specific place was dog-friendly or not. He travels often, both for work and to visit family in the Southern Ocean County area, and having Rosie by his side is non-negotiable. In his own words, “If they’ll have her, we’re there.”

In an effort to ease his own life and the lives of other pet parents, Aff recently created TheWagMap, an interactive, community-powered phone app that can be used to log dog-friendly spots anywhere in the world.
