To the Editor:

Out on the beach stands a man. He is wearing his Guy Harvey ball cap, baggy sweats, his black fanny pack and a lightweight hoodie. He casts his line into the water and patiently waits as the waves bring his hook back to shore and he reels it in.

He does this over and over.

I come running down the dunes. “What’d ya catch?” I ask excitedly.
