In the warm months, it seems like an entire SWAT team would be needed to eradicate the biting flies that attack in certain conditions in a shore-meets-pinelands environment. The Brigantine-based company FlyCatch-R has come to the rescue of property owners in Southern Ocean County along with customers nationwide with its invention of a plastic box that utilizes its color, placement and design to attract flies.
No chemical bait is needed, making the device safe to use around homes, beaches, barns and farms, its developers say.
