New Jersey’s largest sculpture garden is not even an hour and a half away – and well worth the trip. On Wednesday, Oct. 21, Long Beach Township is hosting a bus trip to the site, in Hamilton, and there’s still time to sign up.
The deluxe motor coach will leave town hall in Brant Beach at 9 a.m. and return at 4:30 p.m., “leaving four hours to explore the grounds and have lunch on premises,” organizers note.
Grounds For Sculpture, as the website groundsforsculpture.org explains, is “a sculpture park, museum and Level II Accredited Arboretum framed by nature on 42 picturesque acres. More than 300 sculptures by renowned and emerging contemporary artists are thoughtfully positioned on meticulous landscaping complemented by thousands of exotic trees and flowers.
“Explore rotating exhibitions in six indoor galleries. …Visit Grounds For Sculpture and discover the beauty, charm, and whimsy that awaits.”
The cost for the trip is $70 per person, and includes the motor coach, driver’s tip and entrance ticket. Checks can be made out to and sent to: Long Beach Township, 6805 Long Beach Blvd., Brant Beach, N.J. 08008. In the memo, write “GFS-Recreation.”
All participants also need to fill out a trip waiver release indemnification form. Visit longbeachtownship.com/event/grounds-for-sculpture-bus-trip to access the form.
