To the Editor:
Saturday began as a typical weekend day before Christmas. I was up and out to get the last-minute shopping done, then home to send out the final few Christmas cards. A few minutes allowed for a quick lunch and then Gus, our 3-year-old springer spaniel, gave us the look that it was time for his afternoon walk.
We decided to treat Gus to a walk somewhere other than the neighborhood, so we headed to the Ship Bottom boat ramp to park and wander from there.
