During the United States Optimist Dinghy Association Team Trials at Brant Beach Yacht Club this past May, Surf City Yacht Club’s Adra Ivancich obviously was comfortable sailing the water of Barnegat Bay. Still, as she attempted to qualify for the U.S. youth squad, she felt a bit uneasy.
“I love sailing in Barnegat Bay, but sometimes it’s actually harder to sail in a large regatta at home,” said the 13-year-old.”
