To the Editor:

My name is Jean Thornberry. My beloved husband, Mickey, and I have been residents of Little Egg Harbor for over 26 years. We would like to humbly ask for your personal support for our dear friend Christine Sylvia (a resident of Manahawkin who volunteers at Starve Poverty in Barnegat to help those struggling in her community) in her Team Hope walk for HD to help those affected by Huntington’s disease (a disease that’s like having ALS, Parkinson’s disease and Alzheimer’s disease at the same time).

There is no cure at this time, but treatments are in the works! She runs the only HD support group in New Jersey to help all who have been impacted by this horrible disease!

The Huntington’s Disease Society of America New Jersey chapter is hosting a Team Hope Walk in Edison. Christine is walking to raise money for a cure and life-saving treatments for all touched by HD and their families. Please support her at this link give.hdsa.org/fundraiser/7486171 and pass this around to all working in your newspaper so that they may also help support her. Every little bit raised helps bring us closer to a cure for this horrible disease and ending it for good.

Please also share this post with your followers and readers so they, too, may support this life-changing cause for all suffering with HD and their families.

God bless you and everyone at The SandPaper for making a difference for all suffering with this awful disease. May God bless and bring healing and restoration to all touched by HD in Jesus’ name.

Jean Thornberry
