In a St. Francis Community Center annual tradition, a swarm of Super Plungers – in bikinis, one-pieces and trunks – braved the ocean off Brant Beach on Sunday, March 1.
With the ocean temperature in the 30s, it was a quick in and out for most. Ensuring everyone’s safety were lifeguards in wetsuits positioned on paddleboards in the water. The Rev. Matt Ryan handled announcements at the mic. Patrick Pietrefesa added a touch of whimsy and came dressed as a shark.
