Two issues dominated the Aug. 19 meeting of the Little Egg Harbor School District Board of Education.
They were intertwined. It had been suggested that the district drop its student government and safety patrol programs in an attempt to rein in spending. At the same time the district wanted to give a substantial pay increase to Michael Cofer, the district’s transportation supervisor.
