When Mother Nature delivers a nor’easter on an LBI wedding day, the Island community responds with generosity, spirit and steadfast devotion – turning even the stormiest celebration into a memory filled with warmth, grace and gratitude.

“I just don’t, I have no words. I am so, so grateful,” Brenna Korenowski said Oct. 4, seven days after marrying her husband, Theo, amid last month’s nor’easter, which slammed the Island with winds and sustained flooding.

The couple arrived on the Island Sept. 25, along with most of their guests.
