In 1843 Charles Dickens wrote “A Christmas Carol. In Prose. Being a Ghost Story of Christmas.” Since its original publication as a novella, “A Christmas Carol” has become a staple of the Christmas season. Presented in many different genres – from a Disney cartoon version to Bill Murray’s modern adaptation to the classic telling of the story by Patrick Stewart and of course Surflight Theatre’s musical “Ebenezer” – the well-known outline of the story remains the same.
