Nearly 300 runners of various ages participated in the Barnegat Township Volunteer Fire Co.’s ninth annual Stop Drop and Run on Sept. 4. The event, featuring a 5K and 10K, began and ended at the township dock, sending runners on a winding course over bayfront and lagoon areas off Bayshore Drive.
In the 5K run, Anthony Pallaria, 35, of Islamorada, Fla., had the best time at 18:33.3. Only one second behind was Harlen Jones, 44, Estell Manor, at 18:34.4.
