In its first year under head coach Mike Sarnoski, the Stafford Stingrays 12-and-under softball team has won games. But none, so far, were as big as the win the Stingrays pulled out on June 26.
After going 1-0-1 in pool play a day earlier, the Stingrays captured the USSSA New Jersey title with an 8-4 victory over the Vineland Tsunami, earning a spot in this year’s USSSA “C” Fastpitch World Series, scheduled for July 27-31 in Sterling, Va.
