Southern Regional’s Chuck Donohue Sr. has spent 44 years on the sidelines as a head football coach, and he’s still not ready to call it quits.

“I’m coming up on my 45th season as a head coach, and 48th overall, and I still feel great, thank God,” said Donohue, who on June 26 was inducted into the New Jersey Football Coaches Association Hall of Fame. “I’m still not afraid to put in the hours, doing all the prep work and online things, or filling out forms and sending tape to help kids get to college.
