The Southern Regional sailing team culminated its fall season in a big way Nov. 12-13 at the Rochester Yacht Club, cruising to a sixth-place finish with 194 points amid a 20-team field on Lake Ontario in the Atlantic Coast Championship National Invitational Regatta.
“The Atlantic Coasts are the biggest fall event on the national calendar, and this is the first time Southern has either qualified or been invited,” said coach Steve Warren in his post-regatta report on the team’s Facebook page.
