Last spring, a colossal team effort helped secure the NJSIAA Group IV championship for the Southern Regional boys track and field team. The Rams had an excellent stint earlier this year during the indoor season, following a great cross-country season for the distance runners.

So, it should be fairly obvious to anybody paying attention that Southern this spring is one of the better teams in Ocean County and could make another run at both a sectional and group title come June.

“We have no surprises,” said head coach Scott Baker. “We’re just going to keep doing what we do.”
