As the Southern Regional and Barnegat High School boys lacrosse players walked off Southern’s field late in the afternoon on May 8, ACDC’s “Thunderstruck” was screeching from a loudspeaker.

That song title describes how Barnegat felt early on, with the home team scoring four goals less than four minutes into the game. Southern dealt the Bengals (12-1) their first loss in an 11-2 win in a Shore Conference A-South tournament game.
