Can California Chrome win the Triple Crown of racing? “The People’s Horse” is probably going to be a heavy favorite when the Belmont Stakes goes off on June 7. Remember, though, that a full dozen thoroughbreds have won both the Kentucky Derby and the Preakness since Affirmed won the Triple Crown in 1978 and, well, Affirmed is still the last horse to win the grueling Belmont as well.
A better bet this spring would be the Southern Regional High School girls track team.
