Southern Girls Track and Field Team Maintains Its Excellence

Of all of Southern Regional High School’s great athletic teams over the past decade or so, the girls track and field squads may have been the most consistent.

After all, the school’s boys cross country team racked up five A South titles, four Ocean County championships and a South Jersey Group IV crown in the past five years. Meanwhile, the girls cross country runners emerged as A South champs in 2007, 2009 and 2013 and tacked on an Ocean County title in 2011.
