Two local high school basketball teams are still perfect in 2026, as both the Southern Regional girls and Pinelands Regional boys captured victories late last week to keep winning streaks alive.
With a 17-7 outburst in the first quarter, followed by a 12-6 spurt during the second quarter on Jan. 15, Southern cruised past Lacey, 46-30, to win its sixth straight. Sophomore guard Mackenzie Sininsky tallied 20 points to lead the Rams (9-2) on offense. She also grabbed six rebounds, delivered five assists and swiped four steals.
Mikayla Blahut contributed eight points, going 4-for-4 from the foul line, eight boards, four assists and six steals.
