Having a ton of seniors leading a team is both a blessing and a curse. Eventually, those seniors who had been relied upon to help set the tone and burn a path, in some cases for several years, fly the coop.
In the case of Southern Regional’s field hockey program, it’s typical that when a slew of seniors leave the team, the Rams reload the cannons and forge ahead. This fall, Southern has exactly six players returning to its lineup – 19 left the program following last year’s 14-5 campaign.
