By the time the Sunfish Youth World Championship regatta concluded at Brant Beach Yacht Club on Saturday, Aug. 26, the top third of the leaderboard clearly showed which part of the world had established itself as a dominant presence. Unfortunately, those closer to the top weren’t the home sailors from the United States.
While Peru’s Angello Giuria edged Spain’s Ignacio Antequera Erro, the next nine in the standings all hailed from South America.
