The Southern Regional Family, Career and Community Leaders of America chapter has a busy weekend coming up. Whether you enjoy shopping or mini golf, or both, upcoming activities offer a chance to support FCCLA leadership opportunities, community service projects and the purchase of needed items for personal care kits for homeless individuals.

First, on Saturday, Oct. 17, stop by Southern Regional Middle School’s cafeteria as the student organization hosts its first Craft Sale and Flea Market from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event is open to the public and admission is free.

Vendor and craft sale spaces are still available for $30 each, while yard sale spaces are $20 each.

Donations of items that FCCLA members can sell on site, with the profits benefiting the chapter, may be dropped off at Southern Regional Middle School until Friday, Oct. 16. Call or text 201-669-2939 or email briannjfccla@gmail.com for vendor information.

Putt for a Purpose

On Sunday, Oct. 18, join Southern FCCLA as it hosts the Putt for a Purpose Tournament, a mini golf fundraiser, at The Sand Trap in Ship Bottom. The tournament will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The entry fee is $10 per player, per round, at the gate, and all proceeds benefit Southern FCCLA and its ongoing initiatives for its student leaders and related service projects. Mini golfers of all ages and skill levels are encouraged to play, and prizes will be awarded to the top overall players, ladies 13 and over, and youth 12 and under.
