Ship Bottom Bike Path Plan Hits a Roadblock With Residents

While Ship Bottom officials are hoping to get a proposed bike path rolling, some homeowners on East Bay Terrace want them to put the brakes on the project and return the street to a fully functional north-south roadway.

“Why is the borough catering to a handful of bike riders rather than tax paying residents, just so bikers may have four short blocks to ride on Bay Terrace instead of remaining on Central Avenue?” a group of East Bay Terrace homeowners said in an Aug. 31 email.
