As a journalist with no ties to any political party but rather with the view of an observer, I find the antics, or rather charade, associated with take 17 of a government shutdown to be self-serving and completely transparent.
Beginning with the facts, the Affordable Care Act is both a legal and legislative fait accompli. The dithering over ending it is simply an attempt to be “safe at home” for GOP members of the House of Representatives.
