Yaatree Bazaar proprietress Taylor Thorn has been traveling in India of late, to find inspiration for new items in her Barnegat Light boutique. Happiest in a pile of vibrant fabrics, Thorn said she loves nothing more than sitting on the floor, sifting through the materials and prints, sipping chai tea, and listening to Indian music.
“Between the chaos and hustle that is India,” she said, “there is incredible artistry and design all around.”
In 2018, Thorn conceived her business idea while on a seven-month solo trip. The word yaatree means traveler in Hindi.
