When students see Seamus Brazill walking through the Barnegat High School hallways, they probably figure he’s a member of the basketball team. But they’d be wrong – the 6-foot-9-inch senior pitches for the baseball team, and he was one of the keys to the Bengals finishing 20-10 and reaching the NJSIAA Group II championship game, in which they lost to Buena, 1-0.
When he graduates in 2015, Brazill will be taking his mound talents to Hoftsra University in Hempstead, N.Y.
