To the Editor:
What a brilliant column by Rick Mellerup in last week’s paper (“Is All Math Needed in the Age of Smartphones”)! I hope he realizes what a far-reaching solution he has advanced for so many of our problems.
We can just eliminate schools altogether. Why study English when your texts automatically self-correct? Why study history when all of history is there, in detail, on the World Wide Web?
