Gary Muldowney was in his garage at about 9:30 a.m. on Monday, June 15, working on his 1965 Ford Fairlane, when he heard the loud pops that came from the vicinity of Route 72, about 175 yards from his home on Fathom Avenue in the Ocean Acres section of Stafford Township, not far from the Stafford Diner.

“It was scary,” said Muldowney, whose wife, Nancy, also heard the gun shots and came outside to find out what was going on.
