A 9-year-old and an 82-year-old were among the more than 200 competitors in last summer’s Barnegat Light Ocean Mile Swim, which benefits the borough’s beach patrol. Registration is open now for this year’s sixth annual installment of the event, scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 26, on the 22nd Street beach.
Online registration – at a cost of $20 – is available at compuscore.com until noon on July 25. Race day registration, at 22nd Street from 2 to 6 p.m., is $25.
