The four-page article in the March 31 edition titled “Nonprofits Shift Gears Amid Virus Concern” depicted the many contributions that a dozen or more nonprofit community-based groups and their volunteers made during the pandemic in Southern Ocean County, including family support services and church community services. The Joint Council Taxpayers’ Associations of Long Beach Island, established in 1968, received a three-paragraph mention.
