Although there is no definitive timeline to bring utilities at the Surf City Firehouse back online, the building has been cleaned and members have begun the process of rebuilding following a late-night fire shortly before Christmas.
“We are primarily responding to fire calls out of Ship Bottom, where (engine) 4913 is housed, and if needed, out of High Point (Harvey Cedars), where (engine) 4901 is housed,” said Peter Hartney, president of the Surf City Volunteer Fire Co. and EMS.
