To the Editor:
A few weeks ago, a friend who is African American was sitting alone on the beach in Barnegat Light. The people he was with (his girlfriend and another friend) had gone for a walk. A woman walked up to him and in a very angry voice asked him what he was doing on this beach and what he was doing in Barnegat Light.
He said he was here with his girlfriend. The woman asked where the girlfriend was, and he told her she had gone for a walk.
