Lucas P. McCooley, the husband of Pinelands Regional Superintendent Melissa McCooley, remains in jail after the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office accused him of threatening to kill August Daleo, president of the Pinelands Regional Board of Education, and Troy Henderson, Pinelands Regional High School principal.
An affidavit from the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office alleges McCooley made repeated and graphic threats, including statements about going to an individual’s home and shooting him.
