Big innings can be either a blessing or a headache. For the Pinelands Panthers 12-and-under softball team on Aug. 4, East Side’s big inning stung a bit, as the Panthers dropped an 11-2 contest to the Indiana squad in their second pool play game of the Babe Ruth World Series.
Tied at 2-2 heading into the bottom of the fifth, East Side, which hails from South Bend, Ind., scored nine times to end the game.
