The Pinelands Regional High School football team no longer has a chance for its first winning season in many years.
The Wildcats, though, gave it quite the fight in Saturday’s New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association consolation game at the field of another team that didn’t qualify for the NJSIAA playoffs, the Steinert Spartans. Pinelands pushed the game into overtime before finally falling, 35-28.
